Kosher Style Matzah Bakes

Kosher style matzah bakes in the woodfired oven explore our connection to this important ancestral food! Sam Coates-Finke of Backyard Bread, professional kosher baker and oven builder is our resident bread baker. We begin by grinding 3 different ancient grains, mix the dough, roll in the holes, and then bake (for under 18 minutes of course) in the outdoor wood oven.  Our time includes diving into an accessible text study about the origins of matzah, using our hands to shape the dough, and learning to use the traditional woodfired oven! Family friendly and open to people of all levels of Jewish observance and cooking experience.

Though this matzah is made following kashrut rules, the grain and oven have not been kosher certified by a rabbi.
