Shabbat candle making workshops explore Jewish relationship to candles as a sacred ritual object and marker of Jewish time. We share stories of our own connection to candles, as well as explore primary source texts in our tradition that discuss commandments to light candles, and their significance. From there, participants will explore DIY candle making and walk away with their own pair of beeswax shabbat candles with 100% cotton wick.
