This tallit is a one-of-a-kind work of art. I began by drawing
pomegranates by hand on the iPad, then creating a repeat pattern. I had the
pattern printed onto a 100% cotton poplin fabric. This fabric is lightweight
with a tight weave, so it maintains its shape when worn like the traditional
tallit gadol, gathered on the shoulders, or folded up and worn like a shawl. The green fabric on the atarah, neck piece, and four corners is also 100% cotton and
is soft to the touch, while being a bit heavier, allowing the tallit to hang
gracefully. The tzitzit are made from thick wool and I tie them myself.
For reference, the item is being worn by the artist, who is 5'7'' and the tallit when not gathered or folded reaches the floor. This is great for someone tall or perfect folded for
someone shorter.
