The first edition of this medicine featured honey from Beekeeper Montaser Saad in Palestine that I infused with rosemary, garlic and ginger for a year! I decided to strain out this honey in May 2021 (Iyar-Sivan 5781) and formulate this elixir as an herbal prayer offering to organizers and to this political moment. All of the medicines I create echo diaspora and include herbs from SWANA regions but this one feels special because of the honey infusion -- I see honey functioning as a sweet transformer in this medicine; a hand reaching across seas and continents to connect to the bees all the way in Palestine from here on Turtle Island. I pray that this medicine facilitates deeper healing by connecting folks to their hearts, body/minds, souls and to the core of this sacred Earth. I pray that this medicine helps us to continue fighting for a Liberated Palestine and for the collective liberation, freedoms and joy of all people, a liberation that is beyond our current imaginations, reaching to a world we have yet to fully know.

I gifted a portion of the medicine of this limited edition to local Palestinian and Arab organizers living in diaspora on Ohlone lands. I have another version of this medicine that includes the same recipe with honey from Chochenyo Ohlone lands.
