Handwashing Cup //Negel Vasser Al Netilat Yadayim

When we wash our hands we inhabit a liminal space between the solidity of earth and the fluidity of water, gevurah and chesed, the riverbanks and the river’s flow. This cup lives in that in-between space with us. This is a two-handled ceramic handwashing cup with an unglazed outside, and the rim is etched with the Hebrew words “al netilat yadayim” (“upon the lifting of the hands”) which is the end of the traditional handwashing blessing. Handcrafted on Occaneechi Land in Durham NC.

Dimensions: cups are approximately 3 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter at the outside of the rim. Holds about 8 ounces of water.
