Zoftig can be spelling with an a or an o and I prefer this spelling with the
openness of the O. The word comes from the Yiddish “zaftik” meaning “juicy”
and refers to a healthily plump body. Not only is zoftig a word to describe
voluptuousness— the word presents a softness or a coziness, a welcome
opening to a way of life. It’s a place of acceptance without judgement, a place
of easy connection. And so far I think connection is basically the point of human existence. Come on in, lovers.
